Vidya went alone to collect jewellery from a fraudster’s hideout on 7 November 2026 after realising that the pieces sent to her house were artificial, not real. The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai showed Vidya walking into a trap that puts Tanya’s expensive necklace at risk and could embarrass the Poddar family before the Damanis.
The episode began at the Poddar function, where Bhairavi kept the gifts aside in anger. Nandini told Abhira that they had tried to convince Bhairavi. Manisha said the real charm of the function begins only when the Poddars make their entry and added that the family must have never seen so many gifts together before .
Tanya arrived and Abhira complimented her, saying she was looking pretty. Kabir served drinks to every guest and looked after them. Abhira remarked to Armaan that Kabir was handling the guests well, and Armaan asked whether he should let the guests remain hungry and thirsty .
Madhav asked Damani whether Tanya had decided on a song for her entry. Abhira said she would decide the song. Armaan asked whether an entry with a song was necessary at all .
Abhira said that if Tanya entered normally she would miss the chance to make a grand entry with a dance. Armaan said Tanya had already experienced all this before and could make a different entry this time. Kabir said Tanya was scared, just like him .
Armaan said she was not scared of anyone. Kabir said he was talking about the tension between Tanya and Samar because of their past experiences, and that even at a happy moment Tanya was stopping herself from enjoying it completely .
Kabir said this world is unfair to girls. He said Samar is also getting married for the second time but everyone will judge Tanya because of her second marriage. He said everyone deserves a second chance and that Tanya should be allowed to enjoy her entry however she wants .
Abhira said Kabir takes so much care of Tanya and that is why Maira is finding it difficult to move on. She called him a sensitive child. Armaan asked what was so special about it, and Abhira replied that praising Kabir would not bring the world to an end .
At the Poddar house, Vidya finally reached the jeweller on the phone. She asked why nobody had been answering her calls and told him that artificial jewellery had been sent to her instead of the real pieces .
The fraudster lied to her, saying his office phone was not working, and asked her to share her order number. He told her the jewellery was kept at the showroom. Vidya asked him to send it to her house, then asked for the address and decided to collect it herself .
Vidya reached the location and thought it did not look like a jewellery store. She wondered whether it was a warehouse. She knocked on the door and the fraudster opened it. Another fraudster offered her a cold drink .
Vidya had fallen victim to a jewellery exchange offer because she felt uncomfortable about not being able to afford new jewellery sets. She handed over all her jewellery without realising that she had also given away Tanya’s necklace set, which the Damanis had gifted to Tanya to wear at the wedding .
Reports said Vidya had handed the necklace to Abhira for safekeeping and included it in the deal by mistake. The fraudsters believed they were set for life after getting hold of the expensive jewellery .
Meanwhile, Tanya told Barkha about the Mayra Dastoor ritual, explaining that the bride’s maternal uncle comes for the ritual and gives her many gifts. Tanya asked Barkha to help her open all the gifts she receives that day and fed her ice cream .
Tanya said that after the function she would take Barkha somewhere. Barkha refused, saying Neena had told her she could not go out late. Tanya said her mother had created a very good routine for her .
Kabeer bumped into Armaan, and Armaan accidentally stepped on Kabeer’s watch and broke it. Abhira apologised and said she would buy him a new watch. Kabeer said there was no need, and Armaan asked whether Kabeer thought he could not afford to buy him a new watch. Kabeer said the watch broke by mistake and mistakes should be forgiven .
Raghav informed Samar that the company was having a surprise inspection. Samar said he would go and check, but Raghav asked him to stay. Kabeer asked Raghav and Samar to stay there and look after the inspection, then left .
Abhira said Kabeer was very responsible. Armaan said it was not a big deal since Kabir was handling a well-established family business. Abhira replied that he was doing the same thing, and Armaan asked whether she was on Kabeer’s team or his team .
The precap indicated that Maira would suspect Vidya was hiding something and follow her. Vidya and Maira would track down the fraudster and reach his hideout, where they would find themselves surrounded by a group of goons .
Kabir was also expected to notice Maira behaving strangely and follow her to the location. During a confrontation, Maira was reported to suffer an injury to her hand while protecting Kabir from an attack by one of the goons .
