Kabir confronted Maya after Sukumani lost all sensation in her leg following a fall, and he advised his wife that her anger and stubbornness were her biggest problems. The episode of Sayonee aired on 7 November 2026 showed Kabir defending Saanvi’s role as nurse while Maya blocked her from calling an ambulance and insisted on a house visit from a doctor instead.
The episode began with Kabir asking Sukumani what had happened to her. She told him she had lost all sensation in her leg. Kabir then asked Saanvi about her condition. Saanvi said it was an emergency and they had to take Sukumani to the hospital immediately because the pain started after she fell down.
Saanvi was about to call an ambulance when Maya stopped her and said a doctor would come to the house instead. Saanvi tried to object, but Maya silenced her by stating that she is Sukumani’s mother. Saanvi stayed quiet.
A doctor later checked Sukumani and told Maya it was nothing serious before administering an injection. Kabir asked Sukumani to rest. Sukumani replied by asking him for medicine that would let her close her eyes forever. She complained that Maya would not allow anyone to take care of her and treated it like a crime.
Sukumani said Maya had left her alone in a car, and when she tried to get out, she fell. Maya interrupted and told her to explain the situation properly, saying she was on her way to pick Sukumani up but Sukumani got out in a hurry instead of waiting. Sukumani asked how long she was expected to wait and said she shouted for help several times before taking matters into her own hands.
Sukumani told Kabir that Saanvi tried to help her, but Maya pushed Saanvi away, claiming authority as her mother. Kabir confronted Maya and asked what was wrong with her. He pointed out that Saanvi is Sukumani’s nurse, yet Maya was stopping her from doing her duty, and asked if her ego was more important than her mother’s health.
Maya claimed Sukumani cannot control herself, but Kabir countered that Maya is the one lacking self-control due to her anger. He warned her that if she hurts others, it will come back to her someday. Maya accused him of always blaming her and said she only tolerates Saanvi for her mother’s sake, otherwise she would have kicked her out. Kabir replied that her stubbornness is her biggest problem.
Kabir then advised Sukumani to rest and instructed Saanvi not to let her get out of bed. Afterward, Maya blamed Saanvi for creating a rift between them. Saanvi took the blame to avoid further conflict, but Sukumani disliked this and pointed out that Maya was at fault but was blaming others.
Later, Kabir showed Maya a newspaper advertisement with a phone number to hire a new nurse. Maya asked why she would contact anyone else since she was not firing Saanvi. Kabir asked what made her change her mind. Maya admitted she still hates Saanvi but noted that Saanvi is ‘someone’s favorite’ in the house. Kabir remarked that it is not easy to be someone’s favorite, prompting Maya to tease him.
Kabir told Maya that her prejudice prevents her from seeing Saanvi’s good side. He explained that he has known Saanvi since childhood and understands her well, whereas Maya makes rushed decisions. When he brought up the past, Maya excused herself to avoid the topic.
Meanwhile, Aryan and Yuvraj discussed a trip to Shimla. Yuvraj decided to take Rubi with him, while Aryan said he would bring his girlfriend along too. Yuvraj asked for some privacy, and Aryan shared his past experiences to give Yuvraj tips on how to impress girls. Yuvraj hesitated, noting that since Sukumani is unwell, it might not be the right time to go. Aryan argued it was actually the perfect timing to take revenge on Saanvi. Although Yuvraj was not interested at first, Aryan provoked him until he agreed to execute a revenge plan on Saanvi on Diwali.
Later, Saanvi happily arranged diyas in Sukumani’s room. Sukumani expressed a craving for sweets and asked Saanvi for some. Meanwhile, Ritu informed Malini that she found a hotel receipt and a gynecologist appointment letter in Jasprit’s diary. Malini was shocked and suspected that Shreya was pregnant with Jasprit’s child, wondering how her parents would have reacted. Ritu noted that she and Saanvi were abandoned in a similar way.
Kabir later gave Maya a gift, telling her he wished to remove the darkness from her heart and bring in brightness. Maya sought Sukumani’s blessings and told Saanvi to follow her.
